As a druid, there are a number of buffs that we can give ourselves and to our teammates:
| Type | Spell | Use | ||||
| Stats + resistances | Mark of the Wild |
Keep on yourself and your party at all times. Note: does not stack with the Paladin buff Blessing of Kings, so if you have a pally in your group, make sure he is buffing Blessing of Might and not Kings. If you have more than one pally, you may find that one does Kings and the other does Might, and there is no need for you to buff Mark. |
||||
| Aggro / damage | Thorns |
Useful on your tank to help with aggro (particularly large groups of mobs). Be careful when applying it – either apply it before he runs in, or wait until he has established aggro. If you cast Thorns just as your tank runs in, before he has a chance to aggro all mobs, they will aggro onto you and make your tank have to chase them down. You can also use Thorns on yourself while soloing, for added DPS, or to let weaker mobs kill themselves as they damage you. |

| Mana return | Innervate |
Innervate gives you 20% of your maximum mana pool back, over 10 seconds, on a 3 minute cooldown. If given to another player, it only gives 5% of that person’s mana to them. If you are using Glyph of Innervate, you will receive 10% of your mana in addition to giving 5% mana to someone else. However, if you cast on yourself, you will still only receive 20% of your mana. Because 5% mana is negligible and would mean a loss of mana to the raid overall, it’s best to save your Innervates for yourself, and not use the glyph. Innervate is based on your maximum mana pool, so casting it when your mana pool is at its maximum will give you more mana back. Items and procs that give you more Intellect (and therefore increase your mana pool) will give you bigger Innervates – for example, an Engineer’s Synapse Springs, the Use ability on Mandala of Stirring Patterns, and the proc from the Power Torrent enchant. |

We also passively grant Replenishment by speccing into Revitalize and keeping Lifebloom up on someone at all times. This is a very important buff, so it’s essential that you learn to keep a stack of Lifebloom up and rolling on someone at all times during encounters.
