Buff consumables
Generally speaking, in raids, you’ll probably have access to a feast of some kind. Feasts grant you Intellect, and this is the best kind of food to have; however, you can opt for regen or Haste food if that is temporarily what you need more (eg if your regen is low, or you need a small amount of Haste to reach a breakpoint).
For dungeons, Intellect is still the best food to have overall, but again, you can choose whichever food will help you more at the time. You can also use Mastery or Crit food if your Haste and regen are adequate, and you want to save your good Intellect food for raiding. Of course, few people expect buff food in 5 man dungeons, but if you can make it or get it cheap, and it helps, then why not?
