The Resto Druid Mastery, Harmony, increases the healing done by your direct spells by default, but also buffs your HoT ticks if you keep the Harmony buff up by casting a direct heal. Because this buff lasts 10 seconds, you should cast one direct heal (Swiftmend, Nourish, Healing Touch or Regrowth) every ten seconds in order to keep your HoTs buffed permanently.
Note that Harmony is a self buff, not a buff on others, and only applies to HoTs cast *after* the buff goes up; that is, if you have HoTs already ticking and you get the Harmony buff up, the existing HoTs won’t suddenly start ticking harder.
Tips for using our Mastery
Tank healing:
If you are tank healing, you shouldn’t have any problems maintaining your Harmony buff, because you will be using direct heals often.
Raid/group healing:
Raid healing is a little trickier, as you may not normally need to use direct heals.
- Use your Swiftmend on cooldown.
- If Swiftmend is on cooldown, refresh your Lifebloom on the tank with Nourish, Regrowth, or Healing Touch (preferably using your Clearcasting procs for Regrowth and Healing Touch)
- You can also use direct spells (probably Regrowth with Clearcasting) to spot heal the raid.
